Katia Montemayor studied at UT Austin and graduated with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Educational Psychology. She was accepted into the Psychology Departmental Honors Program in Spring 2022 and wrote her thesis on motivation and learning.

Her ambitions include going to graduate school to pursue a PhD in child psychology and ultimately provide mental health services to children and families. She is grateful for this opportunity to support the Austin Family Institute mission of offering affordable mental health services to the Central Texas community.

Outside of academics, Katia enjoys reading, playing video games, going on long walks while listening to music, and exploring new places in Austin and Texas.
