Post-Graduate Associate Therapist

We are actively seeking applications for Post-Graduate Associate therapists with daytime availability.

What makes AFI DIFFERENT?

At AFI, you get more than just a simple hour of supervision and training. Our Post-Graduate Associates receive at least two hours of hands on supervision per week, once in a group and once in an individual setting. In addition, you will have access to our directors and faculty for consultation and supervision in the case of an emergency or crisis. In addition to those two hours, you will receive one hour of family therapy education per week in our marriage and family therapy seminar in which we discuss relevant clinical issues from a systemic perspective. Finally, on the weeks we do not have an hour of MFT seminar, you will engage in a peer consultation learning group with your other associates. With two locations in Austin, you will have access to diverse populations and clinical challenges. Our commitment is to help associate therapists to become effective, systemic clinicians.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS FOR Post-GRADUATE ASSOCIATE PLACEMENT

  • Must have graduated from a marriage and family therapy graduate program or equivalent

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to systems theory

  • Speak clearly about MFT models (For ex. Structural, Strategic, Bowen, Narrative)

  • Maintain vigilant ethical and professional boundaries

  • Collaborate effectively and creatively in a group setting

  • Must be teachable

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to ask good questions

  • Must be licensed as an LMFT Associate and/or LPC Intern

  • Must be a self-starter

  • Ability to work interdependently

  • Must be able to demonstrate initiative

  • Must have daytime availability for scheduling clients

Office Manager

 We are currently searching for an Office Manager to work onsite at our main office. Successful candidates will have excellent communication skills and organization. This role involves overseeing the administrative tasks required to keep daily operations running smoothly. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail is essential.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Organize office operations and procedures

  • Maintain calendars and general scheduling for our clinical staff

  • Manage office supplies and equipment

  • Oversee office staff and general day to day operations

  • Coordinate scheduling for the leadership team

  • Responsible as needed for special projects assigned by the leadership team

  • Assist with HR responsibilities including managing incoming applications, interviewing and onboarding new staff, and training interns/volunteers

  • Act as a point of contact for general business and HR related questions

  • Manage billing and invoice auditing

  • Light bookkeeping responsibilities

  • Supervise administrative staff, including interns/volunteers

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience with at least 2 years of experience in an administrative role

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, over the phone and in person

  • Strong management and delegation skills

  • Strong sense of urgency and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize

  • Attention to detail, organizational and problem-solving skills

  • Must be computer savvy and proficient in Microsoft Suite and G Suite

  • A desire to learn and grow
