Katrina Robles
Graduate Associate
Supervised by Lauren Masciarelli, MA, LPC-S, LMFT-S
Katrina is a Counseling and Art Therapy graduate student with a background in psychology and community-based art practice. She is passionate about working with children, adolescents, and families and is especially interested in understanding how relationships, family systems, and life experiences shape the ways we understand ourselves and the world around us.
Katrina believes therapy is a collaborative process grounded in curiosity, trust, and genuine connection. Her approach is relational, trauma-informed, and person-centered, with an appreciation for the ways creative expression can help clients explore experiences that may be difficult to put into words. She draws from systemic and relational perspectives and is particularly interested in Person-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Bowen Family Systems Theory, and other approaches that invite clients to explore patterns of connection, identity, and meaning within the context of their relationships and broader environments.
She is especially interested in supporting clients navigating life transitions, family and relationship challenges, identity development, and experiences of trauma. Katrina values creating a warm, nonjudgmental space where clients can feel seen and understood while also recognizing the strengths, resources, and wisdom they already carry. She hopes to meet each client with openness and curiosity, honoring their unique experiences and allowing the therapeutic process to unfold collaboratively.
Katrina is currently pursuing her Master’s in Art Therapy and Counseling at Southwestern College and New Earth Institute. Her academic and professional experiences have strengthened her belief in the power of creative and relational spaces to foster connection, self-understanding, and meaningful change.
Outside of counseling, Katrina enjoys making art, exploring Austin’s creative community, going to see films and live music, and spending time with the people and animals she loves.
