Hillary Kaufmann, Graduate Associate

Supervised by Lauren Masciarelli, MA, LPC-S, LMFT-S

Hillary is passionate about working with individuals, families, and especially couples. She understands how vulnerable it can feel to walk into a therapy session and face your deepest fears. Hillary believes that everyone is inherently worthy, capable of growth, and deserving of respect. She strives to create a space where clients feel safe, seen, and supported.

With a long-standing interest in mental health and a deep curiosity about people, Hillary’s transition to counseling comes as a second career. After finding personal meaning and motivation for change through volunteer work, she is currently a graduate student at St. Edward’s University, pursuing licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist. Hillary has gained hands-on experience through local engagements, as well as the St. Edward’s University Community Counseling Clinic.

Hillary is passionate about helping individuals, couples, and families with any concerns they may want to bring into the room. This may show up as anxiety or depression, painful conflicts within relationships, or as a lack of emotional intimacy with those we care about the most. Her approach is grounded in experiential models like Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Satir’s Growth Model. She believes that real transformation comes from experiencing positive attunement rather than cognitive learning alone.

Outside of therapy, Hillary enjoys reading, running, and spending time with her family.
