Elena Tycer
Graduate Associate
Supervised by Lauren Masciarelli, MA, LPC-S, LMFT-S
Ellie is a Clinical Mental Health Counseling graduate student dedicated to helping individuals, couples, and families navigate stress, relationships, and life transitions with greater ease and a stronger sense of self. Her approach is grounded in the belief that clients already carry many of the strengths and resources they need to move through difficult seasons. Ellie’s role is to help clients recognize those strengths, make sense of their experiences, and find ways to draw on them when life feels hardest.
Ellie is passionate about creating a safe and supportive space where clients can explore the stories they have developed about themselves, their relationships, and their experiences. Drawing from systemic and relational perspectives, she helps clients consider how their relationships, experiences, and patterns of connection shape the way they understand themselves and the world around them. She works collaboratively with clients navigating anxiety, relationship anxiety, life transitions, and relationship challenges, with the hope of helping them gently reshape the stories that may no longer serve them.
Ellie is currently pursuing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Texas State University. She previously studied psychology and theology at Fordham University in New York City and has completed Level 1 training in the Gottman Method for couples work.
Known for her warm, genuine, and compassionate presence, Ellie believes therapy should be a space where clients feel safe to be fully themselves, explore their experiences without judgment, and discover new possibilities for how they relate to themselves and others. She hopes that through the therapeutic process, clients can move through life feeling a little lighter, more connected, and more like themselves. Outside of counseling, Ellie enjoys swimming in lakes and rivers, sewing, and spending time with the people she loves.
