Paola Ortiz, BA
Paola is completing her final year at St. Edward's University pursuing a Master of Arts in Counseling with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a Minor in Communication from St. Edward's University. Through over 10 years of professional experience in higher education administration across a variety of departments, Paola has worked with individuals from all walks of life and brings a breadth of knowledge and compassion to AFI.
Paola seeks to create a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental space in which she can connect with her clients to help them identify and understand their unique skills and abilities in facing obstacles. She employs a systemic and experiential approach in order to open lines of communication. By encouraging clients to explore current and past relationship patterns, emotions, and their true selves, Paola helps them identify the roots of their struggles in order to build the most successful path forward. She is passionate about assisting in transitional life experiences, depression, anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, and conflict within families, couples, or individuals. Paola enjoys working with people from different backgrounds and is fluent in both Spanish and English.
