Our History
Austin Family Institute grew out of the Austin Academy for Individual and Relationship Therapy, founded in 1996. Since that beginning in 1996, the organization has continued to develop as a premier place for the practice of Marriage and Family Therapy. It has also grown into a teaching and training facility for graduate interns and associates pursuing marriage and family therapy.
Michael Bishop, and Liz Gentry serve as Directors of Austin Family Institute.
