How to Make an Appointment:

Appointments are made by calling our office at (512)329-6611.

The Austin Family Institute staff pride themselves on providing Hand Crafted service and will do our best to make sure that you are able to meet with an appropriate therapist at a time that is convenient to you.  You will be asked for a few pieces of pertinent information and a therapist will be recommended to you. Most of our clients can be seen within 48 hours of making the first call.

There are no limits to services at the Austin Family Institute.  You will be provided services on a sliding scale as long as required to meet your needs.

Privacy and Confidentiality

AFI understands therapy is a relationship based on trust, sharing of voluntary information and competency.  We respect that relationship.

Because AFI is an educational institution, the consultations may be audio or video recorded for review by other clinicians under supervision and by the clinical supervisor. The therapy sessions, records and tapes are strictly confidential.

Payment and Fees

AFI staff members may accept your insurance.  Please ask regarding your specific situation when you make your initial call.

Associate staff members under supervision for licensure offer therapy on a sliding scale fee to the community. Sliding scale therapy consists of unlimited visits with no waiting list. The sliding scale fee is based on total monthly income and number of dependents per household. Call AFI today to learn how its caring staff can assist in coping during difficult times.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

AFI's office policy states that at least 24 hours advanced notice should clients decide to cancel an appointment. There is a service charge for missed appointments not cancelled 24 hours in advance.
