Liz Gentry, MA, LMFT-S, LPC-S
Liz Gentry has been providing marriage and family therapy for many years, and in Austin since 1991. She was introduced to the field of Marriage and Family Therapy while a Specialized Foster Parent from the late 1960's through the early 1980's in Massaschusetts.
The experience of having a wonderful Family Therapist for 5 years contributed to successful foster parenting as well as the recognition of the value of Marriage and Family Therapy. She received her B.A. from Pine Manor College in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts. She received her M.A. from St. Mary's University in San Antonio, TX. Liz is a Director at the Austin Family Insititute where she provides graduate and post-graduate interns training and supervision.
Liz is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas. She is also a Board approved supervisor for each license. Liz has served in many capacities in the Texas Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, currently serving as the Secretary. She is a Clinical Fellow of AAMFT.
Liz is committed and passionate about helping people be the best they can be in any relationship in which they find themselves. She believes in the ability to take small steps necessary to creating lasting change.
