Claudine Lucena, MA, LMFT-Associate, LPC-Intern

Claudine started at Austin Family Institute as an undergraduate intern while at studying at the University of Texas at Austin. After graduating with her Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Sciences, Claudine rejoined the AFI team as Office Manager with the hopes of helping further its mission to provide affordable mental health care. In 2017, Claudine assumed the position of Head of Administration at Austin Family Institute.
Since starting at AFI in 2014, Claudine has enjoyed helping the organization grow and expand to continue serving the Austin community. After graduating with her Master of Arts in Counseling from St. Edward's University, in addition to her role as Office Manager, Claudine now sees clients as a Post-Graduate Associate Therapist, working with individuals, couples, and families of all ages and presenting issues. She has a passion for working with multicultural concerns, women's issues, depression, relational conflict, young adult issues, life transitions, chronic illness or medical issues, and couples and families impacted by autism.
